A domain marketing firm, Quarus opened a seperate division focusing on Realtor Domains. It seems as if they bought a ton of domains and are selling them for $10 per month at the lowest price. I wonder how many they captured? How will this affect my Wake Forest Real Estate Clients? It also seems that realtors are advertising in a big way. According to the article, internet real estate advertising will surpass 3 billion dollars by 2010.

Dentist have had websites for a long time now and although many do still resist the internet many have embraced the internet as the effective and efficient marketing tool it is. Typically a Dentist that uses a Professional Corporate Blog is going to attract a more informed patient, one that is looking for not just a procedure at the cheapest price but a potential patient that is looking for high quality dental care. One example is this Charlotte NC Dentist . Not only does he have professional website, but has an equally professional corporate blog that will help him proactively educate and and inform his target market in the Charlotte Area. This is just another example of the many potential applications for a blog marketing campaign.

Not Sure How to react to this lawsuit, On one hand companies need to protect their rights and intellectual property but on the other hand I saw just a few of the domains they are sueing about and while some I understand others well seem pretty trivial. I think that making money by tricking people to click on PPC ads is unethical but are there still that many people out there that find these sites and actually click the links? Maybe there are.
Their Attorney had this to say:
“Attorney Aaron Kornblum says, “Microsoft hopes to help Web surfers reach their intended Internet destinations… Where you cross the line is when you misuse someone else’s intellectual property in your domain name. Microsoft is aggressively targeting those who misuse Microsoft’s intellectual property for monetary gain.”

Corporate Blogs and Blog Marketing in addition to providing many technical marketing benefits that bost rankings, leads and sales etc,.. also help with branding your company. What does a blog have to do with branding? Take for instance the idea that people buy from people, why do they buy from people? People buy from people they trust , people they like people and people they are familiar with. The same is true of companies. People/Companies are much more likely to buy or pay more for a product from a company they are familiar with.
I know that some companies have tracked online visibility in search engines to in store sales and there is direct positive correlation to increased sales. Based on the feedback we get here the positive effect may be even greater with blogs and blog marketing. A corporate blog is every day more and more essential to every online business. Without one you lose business.

Yet more evidence that blog marketing is here to stay and its effective. Even though some big ad agencies are encouraging companies to avoid blogs some companies are seeing through the smoke screen.
Johnson and Johnson has initiated a move to organize “blogging moms” . A smart move on the part of Johnson and Johnson.
Who is next? Will Sports Illustrated organize Blogging Sports fans? Imagine that.
Or will Auto Trade organize Car Bloggers?
This is only the beginning.

Surprise! Surprise! Teen People is chucking the print version of their magazine and going solely online. You mean teens don’t go and buy magazines? Seriously this is a great move on Time, Inc. Apparently some were “shocked” I don’t know why. I can’t think of anytime in the last year I have even seen a magazine in the hands of someone in their target market even looking at a magazine much less buying one.
In other news a recent study says that contrary to what Network Execs would have you believe people with DVRs actually watch less TV. This is really no surprise everything is going online more and more, if you are a company in any industry and not advertising online you are going to be in trouble. A few interesting quotes from the article:
“According to the study, one reason that those in DVR homes may be watching less television is that they spend more down time reading and trolling the Internet. ” No kidding.
Many companies avoid online marketing because they think it is too expensive, and it can be, However many of the most effective online ad campaigns have not been extremely expensive ad agency run wallet drainers.. but instead have been online campaigns born out of low budegets and sometimes desperation.
Currently a well set up professional corporate blog marketing campaign is the most cost effective and proactive campaign that any company can initiate.

More and more the feedback is that a well designed professional corporate blog is generating significant buyers and consumer following for retail websites. When you have a corporate blog that is set up from the start to be a not only an excellent source of information about that industry and products but also will inform consumers on the important inside information about that industry you gain credibility in the eyes of every single reader that finds your blog, and based on the numbers I have seen more people are finding blogs than any of us realize.
The market potential is huge, they want to be informed (post to your blog) and they spend money.
Think about it

Hp Launched a video ad campaign online with ads appearing all over in places including youtube, google, and HP’s Own sites.

Why you ask?
“Online is incredibly powerful in terms of word-of-mouth and is a really effective engine for distributing and engaging with our target audience.” Source
Video ads are very effective for some reason people are willing to sit and stare at an ad on the computer but will skip them at home or go get some food or whatever while watching in the living room.
The perfect combination is really a well set up company blog that also takes advantage of written code and content to make sure that the video ads are found. We are a company that is quietly specializing in video advertising for its clients and has been setting up many corporate blogs. Want an effective ad campaign? Contact us.

The Negative Pay Per Click Articles Continue to come in the latest one says that “Internet advertisers paid $800 million for bogus clicks on their marketing messages last year” WOW. The article also claims that 14.6% of all clicks are fraud, and that 75% of all PPC advertisers have experienced click fraud.
The article also talks about 27% of advertisers reducing their spending as a result… I have to say based on the poeple I have spoken with most don’t seem to care.. Here is an example : “Marketing Person, you realize that probably 15% or more of your spending on PPC is really click fraud, and you know from your stats that most don’t ever even contact you. Why continue paying for.. well nothing? Don’t the Class action lawsuits, the settlements the report after report about click fruad bother you in the least? ” Marketing person ” I’m all set with that”
I wonder do these people get so many sales calls because of their PPC ads that it prohibits them from being open to a viable marketing opportunity (Professional Corporate Blogs and Blog Marketing) when presented with one.
